No Ceilings

This week has been music heaven for me. Wiz Khalifa (okaaaaaaaaaaay), Mike Posner, and even some old 50 and Jeezy. Lil Wayne is the only one on constant repeat. The mixtape is gold from beginning to end. He murdered every track and even his Young Money fam did god. Jae Millz and T-Streets are the most underrated artists on the label. Gudda Gudda needs to really rethink his career choice though. Booooooooooooooo nigga, boooo. But if you don't have the new version here's the link to get it. Enjoy.

Nicki Minaj

The Harajuku Barbie herself. She's sparked a movement for females in the rap game but it's kind of getting annoying. I'm tired of seeing "Minaj" and "Lewinski" after these females names on Facebook and Twitter. It's cool you like her but man. I don't really listen to her music so I don't know how good she is but her last line in the BET Cypher was hot. "I'm killin these b****** Mike Vick'n it up. And of course she'd get it.

Tyga

This is the cover art for his upcoming mixtape "Black Thoughts. Dope

Trigga

I saw the "I Invented Sex" video and definately noticed there was a verse missing. Drake's. I understand why though since it would be odd to have him there while he's gettin busy with the chick (I mean, there's always the switch n' tag method). Anyway, I won't be surprised if I see the video on Skinemax (Cinemax) in a few days but I don't understand all the buzz around the video. Yeah it was good but it lacked a little creativity. Besides, my mans Usher has been doing this for years. just click here, here, and here. Yeah, he did that on stage.

Beans

Legit one of my favorite rappers out of Philadelphia but I wasn't expecting this move. Supposedly he's signed with G-Unit and is now on the list of many rappers who have "beef" with Jay. As soon as the man gets another #1 album, the hating starts. Who cares if he didn't get you out of jail? Like he said, he's not Santa Claus. Who else has come out of G-Unit successful besides 50? The Game yeah but that was short lived. Banks is good but come on now. I really don't agree with this move but hey, like he said "50 looks out for his people in a way Jay didn't. 50 pushes them out there more". Wait what? you had a clothing line and was in 3 movies Jay produced. Well Beans is now a 50 flunkie and I'm anxious to see how this all plays out.

Freestyle

Found this while video surfing. Homie went in. Lmfao

Hip Hop Honors

Def Jam is being honored tonight. I'll definitely be watching. Plus The Roots are playing and they have a star studded performance line-up. This should be a great show

BET

They gave Mo'Nique a show. I love her. I think she's funny and has done great things for plus size women, but the show is wack. She's trying too hard and it gets annoying real quick. I'm not being harsh just speaking the truth. She has great guests (Toooooooooya) but has some questionable performers (Lil Fizz and Ace Boog from B2K have formed a group now?). I honestly don't think BET is gonna be around much longer anyways. It's become more of a black Vh1 or MTV and has completely gone away from what made us all love that channel. At least Bob Johnson got out when he had the chance.

50

His "Behind The Music" episode is coming on tonight and I'm excited. 50 is that dude. He may not be as lyrically as talented as some other guys out of New York, but you gotta applaud his hustle. Label, clothes (that I only see him and his crew wear now), movies (I'll whip ya head boy), music, Vitamin Water, ya boy has that dough. Plus he ended Jeffery Atkins' career which somebody had to do. Plus he survived being shot 9 times at point blank range. Goon.

Eminem

Every time I listen to "Forever" I just fast forward to his part. He......killled........it. Just wanted to say that. I didn't get his album but I plan on it.

Fabolous

This nigga is really getting annoying. Every time I get on Twitter, he's starting a trending topic. What? Really bro, how much time do you have on your hands? Ima start one. #myfabolouslife should stop making trending topics and start making some better music. I haven't been heard quoting him since "Breathe". I'm just saying, I'm tired of hearing this nigga rapping about love and whatever else he tweets about. By the way, didn't he drop an album a few months ago? Haven't heard any buzz about it. Take a break from Twitter my nig.

Josh McDaniels

I'm kind of tired of this guy. He's a good coach I'll admit but he's on Bill Belichick's jock too hard. He took Belichick's trademark "Do Your Job" quotes and made that the Broncos' team motto. Then came the hoodies. Really bro? Really? I understand you respect the man but please have your own identity. McDaniels is an offensive genius (he called the shots in that record breaking 18-1) but I wish he'd stop stealing Belichick's tactics and be himself.

Serena Williams

Another reason why the creators of Twitter are geniuses.

Tyrese

True nigga. He was hittin Taraji P. Henson ON SCREEN!!!! He posted this on Twitter a while back and I just thought I should share it with you guys. Kells got pretty deep on this one. No homo.

Courtney Cox

I never watched "Friends". Never noticed her in a movie. But I do notice her on Wednesday nights on ABC. Her new show "Cougar Town" shows just how much of a cougar she really is. I couldn't be in that show. We'd never get anything done. For the bedroom scenes, I'd put my all into it......literally.

NBA 2K10

Words simply can't describe this game. I haven't stopped playing it since I got it. Ridiculously real from facial expressions to pre-game rituals. Live is officially dead (well it has been for some years now). Just go out and get a copy of it and see for yourself. They even have this My Player mode where you make a player and try to make an NBA roster, complete with NBDL and Summer League. Too realistic.

Pixar

I just saw the trailer for "Toy Story 3" and I'm extremely excited. I'm kinda mad I haven't seen the 3-D double feature they have out yet but it's for sure on my to do list (yeah I'm sorta like a big kid). Seeing the trailer made me realize that Pixar has been making quality movies that reach all ages for years. I was 5 when the first Pixar movie came out and I've seen every single one following it. Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, WALL-E, and UP. All great movies. I'm 19 and still talking about Pixar. And from that list, I'm sure you can name at least 2 that you loved watching.

Pinky

She's in Chicago TONIGHT!!!!!! Wish I was 21. Oh yeah, I got the pic from Twitter.

Models

Cubana Lust and Ms.LaStarya. Beautiful. I recently caught a live UStream vid via Twitter (greatest social network EVER) of these two goddesses chillin in their hotel room teasing the viewers. THE BEST FREE SHOW I'VE EVER SEEN!!!! They couldn't even bend over at the same time. They had to take turns dancing simply because they both got redonkulous asses. I found out the Cubana is indeed bisexual (YES!!!!!), and that Ms.LaStarya is from New Orleans. I definitely have to go visit the club she dances at. Oh and Cubana is definitely perfect. Just click here. WARNING!! Viewer discretion is advised.

Diana Taurasi

If you don't watch women's basketball then you don't know who she is. Shorty got GAME. She's like the WNBA's Kobe. Seriously. I've been watching the WNBA Playoffs this year and she's been killing every game. Defense, nice crossover, wet jumper (hahahahahaha wow), everything. Check out the championship game tonight on ESPN 2 if you can tonight. She's a beast. Plus Nike gave her a signature shoe. Really?

G.O.A.T

Today is a day that will go down in history. Michael Jordan joins basketball's elite in the Hall of Fame. As a Chicago kid, MJ was my first basketball influence besides my dad. No matter what would happen during the day, you could always count on watching Mike dominate whatever team he played against. He has too many achievements to name and his name is known globally. ESPN Classic did tributes to all of the players being enshrined today but Mike's stood out the most. First of all it lasted for about two days (way longer than Stockton and Robinson), and showed his greatest games from college all the way up to his last championship with the Bulls. He's the best. Period point blank. But i noticed the people he had around him when he won championships and I decided to blog about them. Phil goes without mention. We all know what he did for Mike's game, but there were 2 that stood out: Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone, and James Worthy. I am beyond happy for Mike and all he's done for the game of basketball. If you actually sit back and think about how the game would've been if Mike had never shown up, things would be different. No Kobe's, no LeBron's, no Wade's, no dominant guards. Mike has inspired each and every kid who picked up a ball and tried to play the game. Like I said before, Mike is the greatest to ever do it, but today I want to focus on some people that helped him become the player he's known as.

Scottie Pippen

Robin is what I called him. Definitely one of the greatest sidekicks in the history of basketball. He was sort of like the LeBron of his time. Not the dominant force he is now, but the big small forward who could assume point guard duties as well has rebound the ball and defend. Oh, and he could score too. His career average is 16 ppg, but I'm not focusing on his role with other teams. His career average with the Bulls during the Jordan era is 18.4 ppg. Might I add he was a 7 time NBA All-Star, 2 time Olympic Gold Medalist, was named one of the NBA's 50 greatest players of all time, and holds countless records. All these achievements as a sidekick to Jordan. He makes this list because he stayed loyal. He never got the big head and felt he was more than Jordan. He created his own spotlight while in Jordan's spotlight and make the best out of his own career. he could've easily demanded a trade and would've been the number 1 guy on any team in the league. If players could be more like him, I'm pretty sure the Lakers would still be winning championships. 4 is nice, but they would've had at least 8 if Shaq had stayed. Big ups to Scottie for being a great and loyal sidekick.

Karl Malone

Yeah he was never on Mike's team, but he did play a big part in him winning the 97 championship. That year, Mike was snubbed of the season's MVP award. Who got it? Karl Malone. When the Bulls and Jazz met in the finals, you can say Mike wanted to prove everyone wrong and that he should've been the league MVP. His competitive side came out (see James Worthy). That series produced one of the gutsiest, touching, and amazing performance I have ever seen on a basketball court. Game 5 in Utah. The night before, Mike ordered a pizza from room service and suffered from flu like symptoms because of it. He still played in the game. Dubbed the "Flu Game", Mike looked dead. I remember as a young 6 year old watching the game with my mother and on the verge of tears because Superman looked hurt. That didn't stop him. He went on to play 44 minutes (games are 48 might I add), scored 38 pts (of his team's 90), had 7 boards, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block all while playing with the flu. And the Bulls won that game as well as the series. Thanks Karl for inspiring one of the greatest displays of will I have ever witnessed.

James Worthy

Mike's college teammate. He was just a freshman on the 82 team and Worthy was a Junior. He gets on this list because of the relationship they shared in college. Even as a freshman Mike was competitive. He came in and challenged the best player on the team, Worthy, in practice, bowling, 1-on-1's, shooting drills, everything. You can almost say that Worthy forced Jordan to put forth his best effort in everything. We know Mike today as a talented and revolutionary ball player that made it known that his competitive side drives him. Just know it blossomed while playing against James Worthy.

Tyra Banks

I'm surprised she's still on the air. She talks about sex more than Wesley Pipes (hahahahaha). She's had pornstars, prostitutes, sexually active teens, and many many more on her show. I don't know why, but yesterday I caught the show and saw this on my screen. I couldn't help but laugh. Chris Brown did the same damn thing but wasn't on The Tyra Banks show. Shorty is bad too. Just watch. It gets crazier in the following videos. Just check out the related vids when its over.

Bow Wow

I was baffled at first but now I understand. Bow Wow signed with Young Money so Weezy can say, "I made that nigga's career". I listened to Bow Wow's first YM mixtape, Green Light, over on datpiff and couldn't help but think, "Wayne and Drake wrote this shit". I'm sorry, but I've NEVER heard this nigga say, "I am the shit, you niggas is Charmin". Yeah ok. The beats do go hard but I refuse to believe Bow Wow came up with his own shit. The nigga is on a label where there are plenty of ghost writers (Drake, Mack Maine, Gudda Gudda) so they clearly helped. He talked about fuckin and I couldn't really get mad but then he started talking about love. Nigga what? You my age and love is still in your vocabulary as a celebrity? Shiiiiiiiiit. If I make a mixtape, it'll be called "A Nigga Is In". Guess what you'll hear for every track.

Whippin

Ya boy has a car now and a nice one at that. 98 Volvo S70. Navy Blue with the leather interior. YUUUUUUUUP!!!!!!!

Football Season

I've never been a huge fan of football. I mean, I play Madden (what black male doesn't) but never been able to get into actually watching games during the season (I haven't watched college football since the Reggie Bush days). This year that's gonna change. I have 2 fantasy football teams, Da Bears are looking promising, and Mr. Vick is back (week 3!!!!!). I watched his game last night and he still has that arm. It won't be long until I'm playing Madden against someone and I hear the famed, "You can't use Vick" line.

Fake Shore Drive

Shout out to my nig Dallas Wright on a great interview with the nigga J-U-Ice. Good shit bro.

Young Moola Baby

These nigs are really tryna become The Roc-A-Fella Family we all came to love. Back when they had Hov, Beans, Twista, Cam, Dipset, Freeway, Young Chris, AMIL, and so on. Lil Wayne already has a solid lineup behind him but now he's went out and got Bow Wow and Omarion. Now Omarion is that nigga and helps attract more female fans, but Bow Wow? Ehhhhh. He just doesn't fit in to me. The youngest person in Young Money (which is 14) can spit better than that nigga. I don't understand this move. Wayne might as well go get Soulja Boy too. I wish I would hear Bow Wow talk about selling drugs, fuckin, or killing somebody. Don't you have to battle someone to get on the label? So Omarion clearly killed Drake on the singing tip but who did Bow Wow beat? Not Tyga, not Lil Chucky (14), not Mack Maine, not anyone. Hopefully he comes with the fire cuz Wayne is not scared to drop someone after one record (see Curren$y)

Chris Brown

My mans does his thing. I've always been a fan of his and with him taking the post Rihanna beating hiatus I've come to appreciate his music more. He sings about stuff that anyone can relate to. "Kiss Kiss", "With You", "Poppin", "Forever", "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)", and "Take You Down" are just a few I've had in heavy rotation. Plus he can dance his ass off. I found this little video while youtube browsing (he's 17 in the video) and I know he's gonna do some type of tribute at the VMA's. I.......Can't..........Wait!!!!!!

Mixtapes

I was on 2dopeboyz.com the other day and went download crazy. I downloaded mixtapes from Young Chris, Pac Div, Fly.Union, PH (formerly known as Pumpkinhead), and The Nice Guys. I wasn't shocked at the fire that Young Chris and DJ Drama put together (he was always one of my favorites on Rocafella along with Beans), but I was shocked at how good the other artists were. All of them had smooth sounds and good ears for beats but my favorite is Pac Div. The sample they used on the We The Champs (Duke vs. Carolina) is insane!!! Plus their lyrics are pretty nice. Click the picture above to download the mixtape. The rest are on 2dopeboyz.com and I'm sure datpiff.com.

My Birthday

Once again, thanks to everyone who sent texts, emails, tweets, and even FB wall posts. I had fun at the party. Even though I didn't get what I initially set out for (no surgery), I still got pretty reckless. Plus the night wasn't a total loss, I have text messages to prove it. The highlight was the 5 hour roast session between Darrius Doss and Chris Eversley. From ugly scholarships to light skinned Ratatouilles, the night was fun and thanks to all who showed some love.

Wheelchair Jimmy

Damn. Lil Wayne is funny.

BUUUURRRR!!

This nigga is one of the ugliest people I've ever seen but I must admit he's growing on me (no homo). Though it's hard to understand him at times and he seemingly makes up words, his stuff is still catchy. Especially the ad-libs. I guarantee when you heard the music on my page you either smiled, started dancing a little, or singing. You probably let out a loud "YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH", "Well Damn", or a "GUCCI!!!". I can't hate on him. He makes bonifide easy hood music. I've never shot someone or sold drugs, but I dance to the beat and sing the chorus like I know every word. That's all we need; Good beat and catchy chorus. Free D the Mixtape coming soon. Is he throwing up the B?????

Missing?

I've been missing for some days now (haven't blogged since last month) but don't worry, I'm back

Shocking Talent

Just watch this

July 29th

My birthday. I'm excited. More for the festivities than my actual bday. It's only fitting that I go to a party on this day (5 days!!!!). With "Birthday Sex" the song of the year i guess, it's only right that I slide into something that night. I plan on it too. I've got my lineup and at least one of them are gettin their guts torn up. Hopefully I'll be doing work on more than one gut. I plan to feel like a plastic surgeon in Hollywood; Reconstructive Surgery all night on different patients. The only difference is that mine is free lol. FREE D!!!! They call me Vicks......

Big Sean

I finally saw the long awaited and highly anticipated "Get'cha Some" video and I wasn't all that impressed. I love the song (I listen to it every morning so it reminds me to only look for fresh shit lol), but the video reminded me too much of Kanye's "Good Life" video. The animations and stuff made it have that Kanye feel and not Big Sean. I honestly thought homie was just gonna be in his house going from closet to closet tryna figure out what he was gonna wear while showing us just how much fresh shit he has. Or better yet, he's out shopping and just going to all the major clothing stores and just buying stuff. I don't know. Plus he mad me mad man. Nigga rocks BBC and Bape the whole video basically. Lol I can't hate though. The guy has inspired me to not just settle and be cheap when it comes to my gear but to go above and beyond my price range.

Sweeney Todd

Man it was only a matter of time. I absolutely love this movie. The imagery as well as the lighting in the film really captures the mood. And the songs. Ahh the songs. Pretty Women, Worst Pies In London, Johanna (duet included), By The Sea, I could go on and on. Just checkout the playlist to the right. Under Mike of course.

LeBaby

This is really starting to get on my nerves. If it's not a contract its something else. First he ends the season by not at least shaking Dwight Howard's hand after they lost, but now he gets to confiscate footage of him being dunked on? Are you serious? You mean to tell me that if I get dunked on and its on tape, I can have the tapes confiscated? No. I think he's taking this King James thing too seriously. Everyone gets dunked on at one point or another. It's basketball. No one took his high school tapes of him booming on his adversaries so why take this one? Yo LeBron I got something to say. IT'S NOT THE WORLD'S FAULT THAT YOU AND YOUR TEAM GOT THAT ASS WAXED. MAYBE IF YA'LL ACTUALLY PRACTICED PLAYING AND NOT PRE-GAME ANTICS, THEN MAYBE YOU WOULD'VE GOT THAT SHOT AT THAT TITLE. Or maybe if Coach Brown treated you more as a player than a family member on the court, who knows. I couldn't believe it when I heard it on ESPN. Taking the video didn't solve the problem, it only made it worse. People get curious about things they didn't see and they let their imaginations run wild. I bet Jordan Crawford (who is this nigga?) put his nuts all in LeBron face. I'm talking grade A tea-bagging. Yeah I said it. The other crazy factor of this story is Jordan Crawford. The guy didn't even gloat during the game or in interviews. "I was just happy to be invited to the camp and get to play on the same court as him. He is truly a great player and I got to witness first hand why he's so great at what he does". Wow. This kid dunked on one of the game's most heralded players and STILL praises him as a player. Man LeBron. You took away his claim to fame and he still respects you? He's a classy guy. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely a fan of Mr. James, but I don't appreciate him taking the sport I love and turning it into his own little play area where he crys when he doesn't get what he wants. Someone please get this guy a booster seat and his binky. I wonder if this will be confiscated....

Chicago Bull

This off-season isn't going as well as expected for our mighty Chicago Bulls. The goal is to get better, not stand still, or get worse. The recent headlines are that the Bulls are in talks with Utah to acquire Carlos Boozer in a three team deal that would send Ty Thomas somewhere an Hinrich (Capt. Kirk is still a cool nickname) to Portland. Yeah it looks good that we get Boozer to try and lure Mr. Wade back home next summer, but who's the backup for Rose? Our BEST perimeter scorer is now in Detroit and best believe he's gonna torch us for 40-50 at least once this upcoming season. Tyrus leaving would make room for Taj Gibson, plus he's an overall smarter player (he actually stayed all 4 years). Boozer would give us an inside scoring option but it doesn't solve our 2-guard problem. Besides, if he's scared to dunk on an inferior European inside man, then Blake Griffin is gonna smash every single lay-up finish he tries. We could probably get Martell Webster and hopefully Ronnie Price who would serve as a great backup for Rose. He's also extremely quick with the ball and can finish and hit the outside shot. Webster is buckets from downtown all day so it would look good to Wade next summer. But Hinrich would be gone. Chicago has recently decided to stock up on each position except the 2-guard. As of now, that spot is vacant and I hope Paxson finds a way to get a solid player in there. If not, then I guess I'll apply for the new GM opening.

Never Can Say Goodbye

Though I loved Mike's memorial service yesterday, it brought me to the harsh reality that he's actually gone. I was hoping he'd come from under the stage and perform. I thought it was all a publicity stunt to help promote his concert. Something he did to make people realize how much he means to the world as well as music. Hey I was trying to be optimistic. I've loved this man since I came out the womb. I remember every holiday family dinner in which I performed a Michael Jackson song for the talent show. Had the outfits complete with glove, hat, socks, shoes, pants, and my own little jackets. I remember it all. I had the moonwalk down to a science (still do for any challengers) and I battled my friend Prentyce everyday in school. We'd just bust out in a dance in the middle of class. Mike influenced me. He showed me first hand that if you put your all into what you love, nothing but greatness will happen. I admire that man. Through every allegation, every tabloid, every lie, he NEVER let it affect his music. He still put out great songs along with great videos while people looked down on him because of lies. To the right is a playlist of all my favorite MJ songs. There are 32 songs and they include songs from the Jacksons as well as The Wiz. Speaking of, HE KILLED IN THAT MOVIE!!!! You can call this my venting post but I couldn't go another minute without paying my respects. Ever since I heard the news I can't stop listening to his music. For all you other "fans" out there, Mike made more than Thriller and had better songs. Human Nature, I Can't Help It, Lady In My Life, Dangerous, Who's Lovin' You, Girlfriend, PYT and the list goes on and on. I am truly grateful to have grown up with his music and I will make it a rule with my kids that MJ is played every morning before school. LONG LIVE THE KING OF MUSIC!!!

NBA 2K10

Pre-ordering my copy. I want the limited edition anniversary package. Signed Kobe poster, Kobe figurine, game locker, and XBOX Live Gold Room membership. Yeah I'm on it. KOBE! KOBE! KOBE!

Lakers

Repeat. They got Phil back and swaped for Ron Artest. Fisher, Bryant, Artest, Gasol, and Bynum. No weak spot in that lineup. Then they have Odom, Walton, Farmar/Brown coming off the bench!!! Man repeat

Nibblz

Shorty from Flavor of Love Season 2. I know everyone remembers her. The bi chick with total ass control? Yeah her. I'm bringing her up because I decided to do some Youtube surfing and found her page with her videos. Now, she may not be the most attractive girl in the bunch, but the body is nice. Her ass ability is ridiculous!!! If I ran into her while she had a bag over her face with the mouth cut out, we good to go. Check these two out....good googaly moogaly.

Magic

VINCE CARTER!!!!!! I'm excited about this trade. The Magic were already a fun team to watch but now they've added another dimension. Vince can create his own shot and is a true go to guy down the stretch. He forces teams to respect him because of his athletic ability as well as his shooting touch. If the Magic can find a way to get Turkoglu from leaving, this team will be a force. They still won't have that good of a bench but who cares?!?! Jameer will have the option of lobbing it to Super Dwight or Vincantity (I think I spelled that right). Dunk party all day. Vince will also open up everyone else's game. Teams aren't gonna leave him like they did Courtney Lee to double Dwight. Lewis, Howard, and Nelson would have a field day taking their guys off the dribble and putting it in the basket. I would like to see Turkoglu to go back but he might not. Pick him up Chicago!!!!!

Cavs

Cavs get Shaq. Wow. First off, Shaq might not fit. He is one of the greatest and most dominant centers to ever play the game, but he's big. Tall and wide. He's gonna take up space which will allow teams to collapse on LeBron when he drives and be successful. He brings something to the defense Big Z never could, intimidation. No matter how old Shaq gets teams still respect him. No other big man besides Super Dwight and possibly Mr. Griffin will even try to dunk on Shaq. I don't see how they're gonna make this one work. The Cavs need a TRUE point guard and not just a big man. If they get that, then the finals won't be out of reach. Honestly I wanna see it fail. I know thats mean but think about the song Shaq could make for LeBron. "Kobe how's my ass taste" was one of the funniest freestyles I've heard and I know he'll pull out everything for LeBron. "LeBron was on board tryna get me on the team, Cuz I'm Shaq baby the greatest you ever seen, He was on my dick sayin we can win a 'ship, now the season is over and he's eatin my shit, Yo LeBron, How does my shit taste?!?!" Hahahahahahahahaha ohhh man. Hov would kill Shaq cuz LeBron will be playing for New Jersey. Don't believe me? Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fdGbeC_HK8

Me, The Sub, and A Problem

So Sunday around 3:10 pm I did the unthinkable. Somehow I lost control of the car and crashed into a gate on a residential street. I went to pick up my guy Jonte and tried to make a U by pulling into this little driveway. Everything was cool until I noticed the car wouldn't stop. I couldn't help but laugh after it happened until I realized where I was. 75th and Stewart. Not the best area to be unknown in. I noticed unfortunate-looking-fellows coming closer and closer to the car and I panicked. I tried to hurry up and back out but I just made the gate even worse. Jonte just laughed and finally helped guide me out. The Buick (Submarine) is still in tact, but that gate is most def dead. As I drove back over to drop Jonte off around 9 I couldn't help but notice how many chains were needed to help keep that gate standing. Damn.

YUUUUUUUUUUUP!!!!!!!

Trey Songz is a beast. Period point blank. Over thes past months I've downloaded 4 mixtapes of his; Murder He Wrote, Swagga Like Songz, Swagga Like Songz pt. 2, and Anticipation. I became a fan after Trey Day dropped and he hasn't disappointed me since. He's a true (word that they call ignorant or bold African-Americans) with his and you can't help but to like it. Yes most of his songs are sexual, but the things he says on his tracks will have you like, "Did he just say that?". Oh and did I mention he dissed Kellz openly on a track and named it "D.O.A (Death Of Kellz)? What's that word again.....

Kobe and LeBron

Hopefully this debate is over for the year. Kobe proved silently that he should've gotten the league MVP and that people just hopped on LeBron's bandwagon. Don't get me wrong, I'm definately not knocking King James. The boy gets his vitamins (haha Stuart Scott) but it's not his time yet. He will always be second behind Kobe until he develops that killer instinct. That will to not allow his team to be defeated in must win games. Now the loss against Orlando could've been seen from a mile away. Cleveland got cocky and got punched in the mouth in the first game and never fully recovered. They played a dying franchise in Detroit, and a not nearly as talented franchise in Atlanta and LeBron was in the spotlight. Meanwhile, Kobe was in a dogfight. He gets doubled and tripled teamed but still finds ways to make plays. Everyone thought it would be Lakers vs Cavs, Kobe vs LeBron, Mamba vs. King. I was even looking forward to it but it's good it didn't happen. The best two players in the league suiting up to play each other in the leagues' biggest series is an amazing thought, but what about the team effort? Cleveland as a team probably would've won just one game and the series would not have earned the "Great" stamp as did the Bulls-Jazz in '97 and '98. Cleveland needs a TRUE point guard. LeBron needs it. Someone to help get everyone involved. Carmelo got Chauncey and looked like the MVP he will one day be. Kobe and LeBron is a discussion that can take many routes but it will always come down to one thing: Who wants it more. Kobe lost last year and wanted to be there again. LeBron gave up and his team followed. He is mature beyond his years, but he is still young compared to others in the league. What 24 year old isn't a sore loser? I love LeBron and all the things he will do for the league for years to come (my kids will have the chance to watch him), but Kobe is it. He is the definition of basketball right now and people need to respect that. He is responsible for the USA once again returning to dominance and winning the gold medal. One summer working with him and LeBron, Wade, and Melo each took their teams to levels no one predicting in the offseason. Give him the respect. Everyone he plays with gets better over time. Look at his team. Look at his accomplishments. Look at his will. I am a huge fan of both, but for now Kobe leads LeBron in my book.

NBA Finals

Yeah the first game is over, but I'm still on a high. The Lakers showed just how dominant they are and how much they force teams out of their comfort zones. The Magic (they'll need alot to win this series) knocked off Cleveland and clearly thought Courtney Lee and Mikeal Pietrus would contain Kobe....WRONG!!!! Stan needs to go home real quick. How dare you throw a ROOKIE at Kobe? He abused him all night and Pietrus did no better. The only matchup I truly like is Lewis vs. Odom. Those two have the ability to change the course of a game with one or maybe two plays and can guard each other face up. Though I didn't like the thought, I'm glad to see Mr. Nelson back in action. Yeah I was skeptical that he would actually play, but actually seeing him out there making plays showed that he is the perfect fit for their system. Not knocking Skip (lol), but Jameer is just a playmaker that isn't scared to make that dangerous pass. This leads me to my next matchup: Trevor and Hedo. Excitement all the way around. Trevor has had some huge assignments so far in these finals (Artest and Carmelo) and has delivered. Once again the brilliance of Phil Jackson has produced yet another talent that many had given up on. If he can keep Hedo from hitting that huge shot that he has a knack for hitting, The Lakers are in great shape. I can't wait to see how this unfolds but I'm almost positive the Lakers will win in 6. Oh yeah one more thing. The Lakers bench is waaaaay deep but I wanna see more of Shannon Brown. He dunked on The Birdman for crying out loud!!
