VINCE CARTER!!!!!! I'm excited about this trade. The Magic were already a fun team to watch but now they've added another dimension. Vince can create his own shot and is a true go to guy down the stretch. He forces teams to respect him because of his athletic ability as well as his shooting touch. If the Magic can find a way to get Turkoglu from leaving, this team will be a force. They still won't have that good of a bench but who cares?!?! Jameer will have the option of lobbing it to Super Dwight or Vincantity (I think I spelled that right). Dunk party all day. Vince will also open up everyone else's game. Teams aren't gonna leave him like they did Courtney Lee to double Dwight. Lewis, Howard, and Nelson would have a field day taking their guys off the dribble and putting it in the basket. I would like to see Turkoglu to go back but he might not. Pick him up Chicago!!!!!

Cavs

Cavs get Shaq. Wow. First off, Shaq might not fit. He is one of the greatest and most dominant centers to ever play the game, but he's big. Tall and wide. He's gonna take up space which will allow teams to collapse on LeBron when he drives and be successful. He brings something to the defense Big Z never could, intimidation. No matter how old Shaq gets teams still respect him. No other big man besides Super Dwight and possibly Mr. Griffin will even try to dunk on Shaq. I don't see how they're gonna make this one work. The Cavs need a TRUE point guard and not just a big man. If they get that, then the finals won't be out of reach. Honestly I wanna see it fail. I know thats mean but think about the song Shaq could make for LeBron. "Kobe how's my ass taste" was one of the funniest freestyles I've heard and I know he'll pull out everything for LeBron. "LeBron was on board tryna get me on the team, Cuz I'm Shaq baby the greatest you ever seen, He was on my dick sayin we can win a 'ship, now the season is over and he's eatin my shit, Yo LeBron, How does my shit taste?!?!" Hahahahahahahahaha ohhh man. Hov would kill Shaq cuz LeBron will be playing for New Jersey. Don't believe me? Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fdGbeC_HK8
Me, The Sub, and A Problem

So Sunday around 3:10 pm I did the unthinkable. Somehow I lost control of the car and crashed into a gate on a residential street. I went to pick up my guy Jonte and tried to make a U by pulling into this little driveway. Everything was cool until I noticed the car wouldn't stop. I couldn't help but laugh after it happened until I realized where I was. 75th and Stewart. Not the best area to be unknown in. I noticed unfortunate-looking-fellows coming closer and closer to the car and I panicked. I tried to hurry up and back out but I just made the gate even worse. Jonte just laughed and finally helped guide me out. The Buick (Submarine) is still in tact, but that gate is most def dead. As I drove back over to drop Jonte off around 9 I couldn't help but notice how many chains were needed to help keep that gate standing. Damn.
YUUUUUUUUUUUP!!!!!!!

Trey Songz is a beast. Period point blank. Over thes past months I've downloaded 4 mixtapes of his; Murder He Wrote, Swagga Like Songz, Swagga Like Songz pt. 2, and Anticipation. I became a fan after Trey Day dropped and he hasn't disappointed me since. He's a true (word that they call ignorant or bold African-Americans) with his and you can't help but to like it. Yes most of his songs are sexual, but the things he says on his tracks will have you like, "Did he just say that?". Oh and did I mention he dissed Kellz openly on a track and named it "D.O.A (Death Of Kellz)? What's that word again.....

Kobe and LeBron

Hopefully this debate is over for the year. Kobe proved silently that he should've gotten the league MVP and that people just hopped on LeBron's bandwagon. Don't get me wrong, I'm definately not knocking King James. The boy gets his vitamins (haha Stuart Scott) but it's not his time yet. He will always be second behind Kobe until he develops that killer instinct. That will to not allow his team to be defeated in must win games. Now the loss against Orlando could've been seen from a mile away. Cleveland got cocky and got punched in the mouth in the first game and never fully recovered. They played a dying franchise in Detroit, and a not nearly as talented franchise in Atlanta and LeBron was in the spotlight. Meanwhile, Kobe was in a dogfight. He gets doubled and tripled teamed but still finds ways to make plays. Everyone thought it would be Lakers vs Cavs, Kobe vs LeBron, Mamba vs. King. I was even looking forward to it but it's good it didn't happen. The best two players in the league suiting up to play each other in the leagues' biggest series is an amazing thought, but what about the team effort? Cleveland as a team probably would've won just one game and the series would not have earned the "Great" stamp as did the Bulls-Jazz in '97 and '98. Cleveland needs a TRUE point guard. LeBron needs it. Someone to help get everyone involved. Carmelo got Chauncey and looked like the MVP he will one day be. Kobe and LeBron is a discussion that can take many routes but it will always come down to one thing: Who wants it more. Kobe lost last year and wanted to be there again. LeBron gave up and his team followed. He is mature beyond his years, but he is still young compared to others in the league. What 24 year old isn't a sore loser? I love LeBron and all the things he will do for the league for years to come (my kids will have the chance to watch him), but Kobe is it. He is the definition of basketball right now and people need to respect that. He is responsible for the USA once again returning to dominance and winning the gold medal. One summer working with him and LeBron, Wade, and Melo each took their teams to levels no one predicting in the offseason. Give him the respect. Everyone he plays with gets better over time. Look at his team. Look at his accomplishments. Look at his will. I am a huge fan of both, but for now Kobe leads LeBron in my book.
NBA Finals

Yeah the first game is over, but I'm still on a high. The Lakers showed just how dominant they are and how much they force teams out of their comfort zones. The Magic (they'll need alot to win this series) knocked off Cleveland and clearly thought Courtney Lee and Mikeal Pietrus would contain Kobe....WRONG!!!! Stan needs to go home real quick. How dare you throw a ROOKIE at Kobe? He abused him all night and Pietrus did no better. The only matchup I truly like is Lewis vs. Odom. Those two have the ability to change the course of a game with one or maybe two plays and can guard each other face up. Though I didn't like the thought, I'm glad to see Mr. Nelson back in action. Yeah I was skeptical that he would actually play, but actually seeing him out there making plays showed that he is the perfect fit for their system. Not knocking Skip (lol), but Jameer is just a playmaker that isn't scared to make that dangerous pass. This leads me to my next matchup: Trevor and Hedo. Excitement all the way around. Trevor has had some huge assignments so far in these finals (Artest and Carmelo) and has delivered. Once again the brilliance of Phil Jackson has produced yet another talent that many had given up on. If he can keep Hedo from hitting that huge shot that he has a knack for hitting, The Lakers are in great shape. I can't wait to see how this unfolds but I'm almost positive the Lakers will win in 6. Oh yeah one more thing. The Lakers bench is waaaaay deep but I wanna see more of Shannon Brown. He dunked on The Birdman for crying out loud!!
